Concept v2

The HSH openXEdge runs the DeepLight application as its central service. As of firmware hsh-2.0.0, DeepLight ships its own native web interface — the device’s kiosk screen shows it directly, and in the browser it is embedded as the DeepLight tile in the user interface.

Integration

  • The DeepLight interface is served through the authenticated user interface — the same user login applies as for all other pages of the edge.
  • The camera live stream runs through the same embedding; access from another computer on the network works via https://<edge-ip>:5443 (see Remote access).
  • The camera is detected automatically at startup. After a camera or USB change, a reboot of the device is usually sufficient.

Fleet integration

DeepLight reports its status — like all services on the edge — to the Brinkhaus fleet management. Malfunctions (e.g. no camera found) are therefore also visible remotely, without anyone having to stand at the device.

Updates

DeepLight is versioned and updated as part of the edge firmware — a firmware update (see Update firmware) automatically brings along the DeepLight version matching the firmware. The currently documented version is shown on the documentation status page.
